Heya! I'm Chocolate Milq, an experimental programmer, artist, and musician.

I enjoy working on tech projects and artistic endevours. I also like reparing retro electronics when I can. For fun, I like to watch anime, music reviews, video essays, and storytime animation.

My style takes influence from many sources. I am mainly inspired by shibuya punk, genxsoftclub, and grunge. I like everything indie and lofi, it makes things feel more human and allows people to express themselves.

I am an enthusiastic advocate for FOSS and community-based projects. I like when people work together to build things that benefit everyone.

This website is my space away from algorithms and feeds. I created this blog because I want to post about my thoughts, not be advertized. This website will be free from politics, and I generally try to keep a positive outlook. This website is also free from AI. I wrote everything myself unless stated.

Music

I mainly listen to shoegaze, indie, blues rock, and jazz, and I have explored many other genres as well. Three words to describe my music taste are poetic, bittersweet, and passionate.

I play the piano, mainly jazz and blues. I have also played percussion. I sometimes write electronic demos and UTAU covers, but I haven't posted any of them online.
